मुंबईतील नोंदणीकृत स्वयंसेवी संस्था सुमनालय फाउंडेशनने नवदृष्टी सेवा संस्था, श्री साई श्रद्धा वृद्धाश्रम, खिडकाळी यांच्या सहकार्याने मोफत नेत्र तपासणी शिबिराचे आयोजन केले होते. या शिबिराचा लाभ एकूण २१ गरजवंतानी घेतला.
सुमनालयचे कोषाध्यक्ष रुद्रन यांनी फाउंडेशनचे प्रतिनिधित्व केले. शिबिराचे सूत्रसंचालक श्रीमती मनस्वी यांच्यासह डॉ. आकाश गायकवाड, सुश्री ज्योत्स्ना आणि अद्वैत लेले यांच्या टीमने आयोजनात सहभाग घेतला.
शिबिरातील ४ज्येष्ठांना मोतीबिंदू शस्त्रक्रियेची गरज असल्याचे दिसून आले आहे.
सुमनालय फाउंडेशनच्या परिवारातील सदस्यांचा वाढदिवस आणि पुण्यतिथीनिमित्त १५ मे २०२५ रोजी सायंकाळी हे शिबिर हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आले होता. २१ ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांसह मानसिक समस्यांनी ग्रस्त असलेल्या काही रुग्णांनीही याचा लाभ घेतला.
संस्थापक अध्यक्ष आणि समाजशास्त्रज्ञ प्रा. डॉ. सुजाता वॉरियर यांच्या मते, “गरजूंची सेवा करणारे हात प्रार्थना करणाऱ्या ओठांपेक्षा बलवान असतात. सध्याच्या काळात जेव्हा प्रत्येकजण स्वार्थी होत चालला आहे, तेव्हा समानतेचे पालन करणे आणि प्रेमाने मदत करणे खूप महत्वाचे आहे.” नायर सुपरस्पेशालिटी आय हॉस्पिटल आणि नवदृष्टि सेवा संस्थेचे संचालक डॉ. संतोष नायर, वृद्धाश्रमाच्या काळजीवाहू कुलकर्णी, सुमनालय फाउंडेशनच्या सचिव शीतल करदेकर, सदस्य विवेक वॉरियर यांच्या पूर्ण सहकार्याने, कार्यक्रम यशस्वी झाला.
A free eye check up camp was conducted by Sumannalay Foundation, a regd NGO from Mumbai in association with Navadrushti seva sanstha in Sree Sai dham Vridhasram. Khidkali. Total of 21 inmates took the benefit of this camp camp .
Mr. Rudran, treasurer, Sumannalay represented the foundation. The camp cordinaor Mrs. Manasvi along with their team of Dr. Akash Gaikwad, Ms. Jyotsna and Mr. Advait Lele dedicatedly participated.
The program was conducted on May 15 th 2025 from 5-7 pm on the occasion of birthdays and death anniversaries of family members of Sumannalay foundation. 21 senior citizens along with some patients suffering from psychological issues took benefit of the same. The. Message that can be given to general public is to always be ready to serve the needy people as and when required. According to Prof. (Dr) Sujata warrier, the founder president and sociologist, “the hands that serve the needy are stronger than the lips that pray”. In the present day when each one is becoming selfish, it is very important to practice equality and to love all. With the fullest support from Dr. Santosh Nair, Director of Nair Superspeciality eye hospital and Navvdrushti seva sanstha, Mr. Kulkarni, care taker of the Vriddhashram, Mrs. Shittal Kardekar, secretary of Sumannalay foundation, Mr. Shivendra kumar, advisor, Vivek warrier, member, the program was a great success.
